Pastirjeva vila pri Kopru, najbolj vpadljivi paladianizem v Sloveniji

Patirjeva vila na strateški poziciji v krajini

Vaša vila na svojstven način spominja na paladianski slog.

Ta hiša je zgrajena predvsem po mojih idejah. To je moj slog, o takšni hiši sem sanjal od malega. Elementi so tudi Palladievi, vsi transportirani z moje rodne Sicilije.

Tudi ti štirje ogromni korintski stebri pred vhodom?

Tudi. Vse. Kovane ograje, fasadna dekoracija, kipi, strešni venci. Tudi okrasje v notranjosti.

Ste vse to pripeljali s tovorno ladjo?

S kamioni.

Betonska galanterija

Vsi, ki se peljemo po avtocesti tod mimo, vedno pogledujemo proti vaši vili. Eni vzdihujejo, drugi se čudijo, tretje objekt zmoti. Nihče ne ostane hladen. Gre za svojevrsten monument v krajini. Tudi to je na neki način paladianizem. Vedno sem se spraševala, kdo tam živi. Morda zadnji potomci beneškega plemstva?

Jaz sem se rodil kot pastir. Na Siciliji. Tam nas je enajst ljudi živelo na 49 m2. Naš dom je bila ena velika postelja, za drugo skorajda ni bilo prostora. Potem sem se z lastnimi rokami s svojo družino prebil do dostojnejšega življenja. Tu zdaj živim s svojimi štirimi sinovi. Po življenjskem slogu sem ostal preprost pastir.

Kako je potekala gradnja vile? To je moral biti zahteven birokratski podvig.

Zapletov med gradnjo je bilo ogromno. Eno nadstropje smo morali med gradnjo porušiti, ker smo nekoliko presegli gabarite. Po toliko letih pri vas še vedno ne razumem slovenske birokratske nekonstruktivnosti. Vedno pravim, da je bog Slovencu ustvaril nos, da desno oko ne vidi levega in mu tako ne more zavidati, da je na levi strani.

Vaša vila slovi tudi zaradi svoje rožnate barve. Palladio je v šestnajstem stoletju revolucionarno uvedel belo fasado. Tu si vajina sloga nasprotujeta.

Rožnata barva je moj zaščitni znak. Barva je nežna, sveža, nedolžna. Z njo se popolnoma poistovetim. Všeč mi je.

Kaj je to? Čemu služi?

Ste na kakšen detajl pri vili še posebej ponosni?

Kar veliko je mojih idej. Denimo dvignjeni razgledni vogali obzidja posestva. Po stopnicah se dvigneš na belvedere, da se lahko razgleduješ po pokrajini in po sadovnjaku, občuduješ, kako zori sadje na drevju, kako cveti češnja.

Levo od hiše pa je prav poseben del dvorišča, za katerega me vsakdo vpraša, čemu služi, kaj to je. Lepo tlakovana pot, levo in desno vrtnice v amforah. Pot ne pelje nikamor. To je moj prostor. Tja hodim po navdih in ideje. Sedem na klop in razmišljam.

Tako smo si ogledovali najslavnejši primer paladianske arhitekture pri nas. Nismo prišli sodit, niti občudovat. V vilo smo imeli čast tudi vstopiti. Fotografiranje notranjosti ni bilo dovoljeno, prav tako ne bom opisovala, kaj vse sem tam videla (čeprav je bog Slovencu nos že napravil). Naj povem samo to, da v notranjosti ni bilo Palladia, bila je predvsem samosvoja, izrazita avtorska estetika gospoda lastnika. Zanimivo, ko nas je lastnik vodil skozi prostore, se je ves čas z ljubeznijo dotikal sten. Tako ljubeče je hodil po lastnem domu. Morda je prav zaradi te ljubezni hiša dobila nežno rožnato fasado …

Lastnik nam je na koncu zaupal, da bomo v Sloveniji, v Plavjah, kmalu dobili celo naselje zelo podobnih paladianskih vil z istrskim pridihom, vse po njegovih zamislih. Seveda nekoliko manjšega formata.

Bomo spremljali to izjemno zgodbo, kajne?

Revija Outsider

Revija Outsider je prejela Plečnikovo medaljo za prispevek k bogatitvi arhitekturne kulture. Kot piše v utemeljitvi, sta revija in spletni portal Outsider nov slovenski medij o kulturi in družbi, ki si prizadeva za poznavalski in hkrati distanciran pogled na prostor. Ekipa arhitektov, ki skrbi za njen obstoj, je nagrajena za inovativnost pri širjenju zavedanja o arhitekturi in prostoru v kontekstu širše kulture in širše javnosti ter za vztrajnost na vsebinski in finančni neodvisnosti.
